Sorry, I have to change the date of this meetup to the 17th, turns out I'm going to be working a full day on the 10th.

We'll meet at the Harmony Park'N Ride, last row, at 12:45 and carpool to the museum. We may need several 3 drivers, depending on the number going. Please indicate in you RSVP if you are willing to drive. Riders, please plan on giving your driver $5 to help cover for gas.

We should get to the museum around 1:30. The museum is open until 4, which should give us enough time to take a good look around. If the group would like to go to coffee or an early supper afterwards I'm open to suggestions.

The Greeley Freight Station Museum features over 600 railroad-related artifacts including a caboose. The highlight is a 5,500 square foot operating model railroad:

Visitors may actually stroll through this three dimensional creation while the railroad is in operation. They are surrounded by rugged mountains with handmade features including 16,000 fir, 8,000 deciduous and 4,000 aspen trees. Rivers abound. Scenery becomes three dimensional art. The use of cameras is encouraged and guides are available to answer railroad-related questions and to point out unique aspects of this one-of-a-kind modeling wonder.

Admission:

Adults: $6

Seniors $5
