The Newberry Library Book Sale
Hosted by Blue Line Book Club
Details
We should all take a trip down to the annual Newberry Library Book Sale!
I moved to Chicago last year on July 26th, and the next day I went to this sale--my first experience as a fledging Chicagoan. My library back home has quarterly sales that are literally my favorite, and although this one happens 3x less, that means the sale is 3x as huge. It gets pretty intense with hundreds of shoppers, but I hope some of us can make it down there, purchase some books, and then book swap!
The time is a suggestion for those of us who are not available during the day to go, but if you're able to go Thursday at noon, do it because that is when the selection is the best!
