Time to mix it up and do some "out of the box" strength training combined with cardio.

This will not be your boring track or gym session.

Meet at the Park at Villages of Eastridge, Mesa Az 85209

Turn into the Villages of Eastridge.

On Crismon, turn East on Kiowa Ave. This is between Baseline and Guadalupe, just North of Desert Ridge High School.

Go East on Kiowa, until you come across a large park. Meet by the basketball courts.

Everyone can go at your own pace.

Why should we be doing tempo work with strength training? In this video I am talking about Ironman, but the concepts apply to other distances also.

Bring a towel, water and a sand pill (if you have one) 20-60 pounds.

The strength session will be about one hour long.

I will bring tires, kettlebells, logs, sledge hammer, sand pills, chains and who knows what else.

You do not need bring ANYTHING to come to this boot camp, but try to bring a towel, water and a sand pill.

If you want to help me out you can bring:

Tractor tire

Sledge hammer

Kettlebells

Or anything else you think we could use.

Again, anyone can do this. If you can't do a push up, you can do it on your knees or skip it.

ONE last thing, if you have not been doing any squats, it might be a good idea to do a few air squats a few times a day to loosen up those backs and legs.
