The People’s Power CBC Reception

Friends of Salim Adofo invite you to join local leaders, young professionals & trailblazers at the People's Power Reception. This rooftop reception will take place during the historic Congressional Black Caucus Week. The reception will provide a unique opportunity to interact with Black leaders from a range of professional, educational, and geographical backgrounds. It will also be an opportunity to build relationships with leaders based here in the nation’s Capital region.

People's power can range from small-scale protests and neighborhood change campaigns to national campaigns that educate and register voters.

Regardless of the type of campaign, we stand on the shoulders of generations of movements that fought for working people. When we work together, we can create a community that thrives.

Our goal is to provide healthy food, clean water, and a safe environment for our community. Power must be in the hands of the people in order to accomplish this goal.
