May Meeting - Xamarin Forms

Xamarin.Forms allows .Net developers to write the vast majority of mobile applications in common code using a shared project or portable class library, including UI code. When necessary, Xamarin.Forms also provides the means to extend its platform-specific projects with custom renderers for the different operating systems (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, and now Windows 8 / 10) for the few parts of your app that need OS-specific features.

Andy Lech will be speaking about Xamarin Forms and the lessons he learned while developing a mobile application to enable executives at BBA Aviation to review, approve/deny, and comment on big-ticket projects wherever they are, with whatever device they carry with them. If there is time, Andy will show how he is using Xamarin.Forms in the new version of the Orlando .Net User Group (ONETUG) app currently under development.
