How to take better pictures of your kids! Two- part, 2 day Class Feb 16 & 23rd!

I'm sorry we've been out of touch. The holidays are especially busy at the studio and it carried into January. I had promised some moms that I'd offer a class on taking better pictures of your kids this year, so here it is...

How to take better pictures of your baby/children!

Whether you have a point and shoot or a higher end camera, this class will teach you some basics in composition, lighting ( natural and on-camera flash) and digital output.

There is a fee for this class. This is a two part class. Thursday February 16th at 10:30 and Thursday February 23rd at 10:30, there is a $50.00 fee that includes both classes. Please make sure you can attend both sessions. We are limiting this class to 10 moms. Each class will run approximately 1.5 - 2 hours.

Session 1- Bring your camera & /or any lenses you have, plus bring 10 of your favorite images and 5 "problem" images. You can bring them as prints or on a IPad or Laptop. We will review your images, critique them and talk about what works and why or what didn't work and why. We will then talk about composition, light ( natural & on camera flash, indoor & outdoor, depth of field, movement, shutter speeds, apertures, ASA's and computer output. We will demonstrate in the studio and use images as examples.

Session 2- Bring in 10 new images that you have photographed since the last class, using the techniques that we have taught you. We will critique them as a group. Seeing what worked and what didn't. Guiding you further in taking better pictures. Demos if needed. Let's share a pot luck as well!

• non - walking babies are welcome at this class, please no toddlers.

• This class is appropriate for amateur photographers only.

Tracey Prever is an award winning photographer with over 20 years of professional photography experience. Starting out as a photojournalist her work as graced the pages of numerous magazines including San Francisco Home & Garden, Orlando Home & Leisure, German GEO, Runners World, San Francisco, Diablo & Sunset magazines. Her images have also been printed world-wide in corporate advertising pieces.

Tracey started her family portrait business in 2000 when her son was born and she realized how wonderful but fleeting the moments of childhood were. She loves capturing these moments for her clients in a natural & artistic way. She photographs pregnant moms, babies, children, and families in both her studio as well as on location.
