Digital Art Smarts Summer Camp

The Oakbrook Microsoft Store will be hosting a Digital Art Smarts summer camp for children ages 8-13 on Monday, June 25 thru Friday, June 29 from 10a-12p. The Microsoft Store Summer Camp program runs Monday thru Friday for one week, in 2 hour sessions per day. By reserving a place for your child, you are reserving their attendance for the entire camp, not individual sessions. If you are interested in registering more than one child for this camp, please RSVP a spot for every individual child. Participants will need to bring flash drives to save their content to work on from day to day. If you have questions, please email OakbrookCommunity@Microsoft.com . Below is a description of the camp, what technology your child will use and what learning skills your child will obtain over the course of the camp!

Digital Art Smarts

Learn how to use a digital camera's settings to create great shots. Then edit these photos, adjusting lighting and colors and adding filters. Create unique art by transforming your photos into a collage and building an interactive world with Photosynth. Make yourself into art, too - then share it with the world using blogging software.

Go on a photo scavenger hunt and get some tips for taking better photos. Learn to import and organize your photos using a computer.

Tuesday, June 26

Take some silly pictures and alter their mood using color filters. Digitally paint on to of a photo and unleash your imagination!

Wednesday, June 27

Crop, adjust and add filters to your photos using Live Photo Gallery. Create a collage of your best action shots.

Thursday, June 28

Take some group photos and swap heads using Photo Fuse. Create an interactive photo version of the store using Photosynth.

Friday, June 29

Create a slideshow of your art in just a few steps. Use Live Writer to create a blog showcasing all of your digital art creations.
