R Data Clinic (pre-munging workshop)

Details
Dear all,
This is the third series of R workshops that the Adventures in R team is running.
We had a great start at our first Data Munging workshop, but before we present our findings, we need to:
- Become familiar with the data
- Come up with testable questions
- Analyse the data to answer our questions
Before this Data Clinic, you are expected to have already explored the data and become familiar with it. During the first part of the Clinic, you will work individually or in groups to develop questions that the corpus can answer. Please come prepared with ideas! Then, you will start designing R scripts that analyse the data to find the answers to your questions. There will be instructors present to help you design and debug your code. We won’t write your code for you, but we will help you get un-stuck when you don’t know what to try next. By the end of this Clinic, you should have at least the beginnings of a working script and analysis.
At the next Data Munging day, you will present your analysis and walk through the code you’ve written to come up with your results. Be sure to bring any questions with you to the Clinic so you can be prepared to complete your analysis on your own!
Have a lovely break and see you in the new year!
This session is capped at 25. To participate, you need to have attended the previous Data munging session (run on the 4th of December). Participants are already added. If you need to cancel your attendance, please do so. If you want to join us, make sure you have already explored the data.
The session will be delivered by Lauren Ackerman, on the 22d of January 2019, from 1 to 4pm in KGVI 1.71
See you soon
Lauren
