Our May speaker is Sam Pizzigati, national expert on solutions to the income inequality and extreme concentration of wealth in the US. He is a long-time labor journalist and Institute for Policy Studies associate
fellow, and the nation's chief proponent of the maximum wage concept. He will present promising new initiatives in Rhode Island and California and more. Sam edits Too Much, a weekly newsletter on excess and inequality
(toomuchonline.org). His latest book is "The Rich Don’t Always Win." He advocates for publishing the executive-average employee wage gap and other techniques we can implement for Montgomery County. Pizzigati lives in Kensington, Maryland.
We will also discuss regular business, including the campaigns of our candidates for office.

Take Red Line in whatever direction leads to the Takoma Station
Get off at the Takoma Exit (between Fort Totten and Silver Spring)
Take #16 Ride On Bus (about a 7-minute trip) to Elm Street and East-West Highway (Rt. 410)
(Note: This is the stop on East-West Highway just before New Hampshire Avenue)
Cross East-West to get to the other side of the street
Head north (downhill) on Elm Street for about a half a block
Take first left onto Lincoln
Take second right onto Larch
