AN INTOXICATING MIX OF THEATRE, DANCE, HISTORY, AND MARTIAL ARTS
SWORD FIGHTING is a beautiful and fierce discipline with invaluable applications--building focus, confidence, and inner as well as outer strength.
It is also a great workout that develops muscle tone and flexibility, gets you moving, and improves posture and alignment.
OUR CURRENT CLASSES:
Accomplished fight choreographers and professional practitioners Erica Gould and Kenneth Nicholas are teaching classes on Tuesday evenings (current) and Wednesday evenings (starting 5/16).
Classes are 2 hours. On Tuesdays, they begin at either 6 or 6:30 pm, depending on the day. On Wednesdays, they begin at either 7:30 or 8 pm, depending on the day.
Pay/per/class and rolling admission is available.
Classes are suitable for absolute beginners, for lapsed fighters who want to get back into it, or active ones who want to hone their skills and explore familiar weapons in new ways.
Fundamental concepts are covered, along with instruction in three weapon styles–Single Rapier, Quarterstaff, and Broadsword.
Classes meet once a week. Tuition is $275 for 6 weeks; $145 for 3 weeks; $50 per class. Studio location: TriBeCa (Tuesdays) and Midtown (Wednesdays).
We will be adding new classes over the summer, so if the class you'd like to attend is full, there will be other dates/times to do some sword fighting with us!
