The first in our emergency preparedness series, this free session promises to be enlightening and liberating. Join us as our own Scott McIntyre takes us on a step-by-step journey through the ins and outs of disaster preparedness. Scott will touch on the importance of fitness in emergency preparedness and discuss the psychology of disaster, local emergency plans, how to identify hazards that affect our local area and how to develop and maintain an emergency communications plan. Other topics covered include evacuation, emergency public shelters, animals in disaster, and information specific to people with disabilities. Joining him will be our special guest, Jerry Goldman (ACS Thousand Oaks Emergency Communications Coordinator).
