Fundraising + Technology: How to Raise Money in a Changing Landscape

Details

Year-end and the holiday season are approaching -- and while a time for festivities -- it's also the peak of fundraising season. We know you're busy but we'd love to give you a jump start on 2014!

Come join us for a panel discussion with two local innovators in fundraising + technology to learn how you can raise your game and raise more money for the causes and organizations that you care about! Bring your own questions and experiences!

November is Member Appreciation Month for NTEN so we're expecting to have some cool NTEN swag to give away.

As always, free drinks (beer and soda) and snacks will also be provided!

About the Speakers:

Adnan Mahmud is the co-founder of Jolkona (http://www.jolkona.org), an innovative Seattle-based non-profit. Jolkona creates giving experiences that encourage young professionals to become active philanthropists. One of the keys has been Jolkona's focus on ensuring each donor receives an impact report, showing how their gifts made a difference. More recently, Jolkona launched Give Together, a creative new program that is redefining social giving as much more than "one and done" crowdfunding. Additional innovations are in the works as Jolkona continues to create and develop new giving experiences to strengthen and grow its base. Perhaps most remarkable, Jolkona has enabled much of this innovation through thoughtful, clever uses of technology and a team of dedicated volunteers.

Jennifer Kim has worked as a professional fundraiser with nonprofits of all shapes and sizes over the past 20 years. She's worked in positions from Development Officer at Mayo Clinic to Development Director of Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center. Her latest project, Philanthropy Works (http://www.philanthropyworks.org) is an online educational resource that helps nonprofit fundraisers raise better major and strategic gifts. Jennifer will share insights into best practices for fundraising and explore how current trends are changing the traditional landscape of philanthropy.
