This event is proudly sponsored by KPMG High Growth Ventures, and supported by WooliesX and Airtree VC.

In the wake of the Royal Banking Commission, the regtech space has become one to watch. So how do you drive innovation within a regulated environment? What role can technology play to drive better customer outcomes?

To help us understand how corporates are thinking about this challenge, we have two amazing panelists:

Elliot Cousins, Executive Manager, Partnerships @ CBA Business Banking

Elliot firmly believes that collaboration beats competition hands down, and that those who will excel in business over the coming years will be the ones who are able to collaborate better their rivals. Starting his career in investment banking, Elliot has held executive, board and advisory roles across banking, fintech and consulting, and currently heads up Partnerships for CBA’s business and private division.

Dan Canham, Head of Accelerator, Technology & Innovation @ TAL

Dan Canham currently heads the innovation accelerator at TAL. TAL’s flagship accelerator program brings cross functional teams together to fast-track ideas to market using Human Centred Design, Agile Delivery and extensive testing with customers through TAL’s experience lab. Dan is also a part-time Instructor at General Assembly. Prior to joining TAL, Dan was Head of Brand at Samsung Electronics Australia and worked with the Beanstalk Factory – an innovation consultancy firm that helps large organisations innovate.

Moderated by Billy Wong, RegTech Lead @ KPMG

Bill Wong is the RegTech Lead at KPMG, advising clients on risk, strategy and technology to enhance and transform their business. Prior to KPMG, Bill has worked in Strategy & Implementation for a RegTech, Red Marker, was in the Strategy team at a Big 4 Bank and across Risk & Advisory at a consultancy.

We also have some all-star RegTech startups showing how they are making it easier to respond to regulatory requirements.
