New Blood night, DC Balboa Club

NEW BLOOD NIGHT! We will have a beginner drop-in lesson starting at 9:00 pm, and if it's your first time at the club, class and the dance is FREE. Bring your friends, your Craigslist roommate, your cousin's husband's dog's babysitter.

Balboa is a swing dance that originated in Southern California during the swing era of the 1930s and '40s. It is a partnered dance that focuses on connection, footwork, and shared rhythms. Balboa is danced to music at a variety of tempos, including most of the same great music you hear at The Jam Cellar!
