Sonoma Valley Regional Park (Glen Ellen)
Details
$7 parking fee (lasts the entire day), or free with Sonoma County Parks Pass
The park trails are on-leash. There is, however, a large fenced dog park where dogs are allowed to run free off-leash. The main path is paved and offers great shade coverage, but is not part of a loop (i.e. going back the way we came). An alternate path uses dirt roads to hike around the lagoon, and reconnects to the paved path. The distance is roughly the same either way, and comes down to the seasonal weather.
The gathering place will be at the trail gate in the parking lot entrance. From there we can walk around the larger park on-leash and then linger off-leash inside the dog park.
