Any good business process eventually becomes a bad business process. To remain relevant and efficient, a successful Intelligent Automation project must rely on the ongoing process of monitoring, analysis and redesign as part of the wider business-process management (BPM) initiative.

6:45 - 7:30pm. "TOGAF9 Business Architecture as a Framework for RPA Delivery" by Alex Chadyuk

TOGAF9 is a well-established enterprise-architecture framework promoted by many IT heavy-weights, including Apple, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, as well as all leading enterprise-architecture consultants. In the scope of the BPM practice, TOGAF9 framework provides a number of useful procedures and templates that can be applied at various stages of the intelligent-automation initiative. During the workshop we will discuss how the TOGAF9 approaches and artefacts can be used to streamline the IA initiatives.

Alex Chadyuk is the Senior Manager, Intelligent Automation with EPAM Systems Canada. In addition to his hands-on involvement in several IA projects, he acts as the representative of EPAM’s global IA practice in Canada. Alex is the TOGAF9 certified Enterprise Architect.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will continue to transform countless business processes, but the type of processes that are automated will not be static. As organizations mature, there should be a more deliberate evaluation that informs the design, redesign, and integration of RPA into new and ongoing projects. This talk will address many types of automated processes, the roles of humans in those processes, and the overall relationship to business architecture.

Robert Love is the Technical Consultant at UiPath. Over the past decade, Robert has led teams of consultants to bridge the gap between technology and business through the intelligent application of data and technology. He received his BSc in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from Tennessee State University, and MSc in Technology & Policy from MIT.
