MPPL USPSA Aloha State Games (Intermediate & up)

EVENT: We're going to compete in the IPSC/USPSA pistol match with the Mid Pacific Pistol League to "run and gun". This match is part of the Aloha State Games, like Hawaii's version of the Olympics. This involves drawing and shooting from a holster, shooting multiple paper and steel targets, shooting from different positions and around barricades, and shooting on the move.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. You must be able to draw from a holster safely, fire from different positions, and shoot on the move with safe muzzle awareness.

REQUIREMENTS:

• You must have your own firearms and ammunition.
• Have completed the MPPL 101 Course
• Register for the event.

ATTIRE: Range attire. Shoes required. Long sleeve shirt, pants, and hat is recommended.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

• Handgun, minimum 38spl/9mm caliber
• minimum of 5 magazines
• Belt, safe holster and magazine pouch
• Minimum of 150 rounds of ammunition
• Eye and hearing protection
• Drinks and snacks/lunch

EQUIPMENT OPTIONAL:

• magazine loaders
• NRA, MPPL, USPSA member cards
• Gloves (for range setup)
• Suntan lotion & UV blocking lip balm
