Dennis Weaver Memorial Park / Boothill, Ridgeway

. Elevation 7,000 to 7400 ft.
We will walk along the Uncompaghgre River on a paved path to Dennis Weaver Memorial Park and then follow a 1 mile trail to Boot Hill Summit. The Dennis Weaver Park is a really pretty small park. It is on the river. The eagle statue and all the cairns are always impressive. You can even leave your own cairn! From there we will head to Boot Hill. Once at the top you'll find out why it is called Boot Hill! The views are fantastic in all directions!! This will be a 4 mile RT hike on both paved and natural path. This is considered an easy walk hike. From Dennis Weaver Park to Boothill expect a gradual uphill.Please have good walking shoes, water, sunscreen, walking sticks (for Boothill).

We will be meeting at the South/East parking lot of Target by Discount Tire at 8:30 and carpool to the Ridgeway City Park.

If you want to meet us in Ridgeway, we can meet you at the town park near the restrooms at 9:00, North side of park by Library & Fire Station. Please let me know if this is your plan.
