Justyna Walkowska is the Director of Product at DeepL, overseeing Core Platform, Voice, and the public API. Her professional journey is a unique blend of technology, business, and translation expertise, complemented by an impressive academic background. Justyna’s diverse work experience includes teaching computer literacy to senior citizens, translating tech books, developing language models for Samsung Smart TV, and pioneering backend product management at companies like Fandom and Visa. At DeepL, she has been instrumental in launching new AI products and leading teams of engineers, product managers, and linguists. She values transparency, empathy, and holistic optimization in her work.

David Moreno is an accomplished product engineering leader with over two decades of experience in startups, scale-ups, and multinational corporations. He excels in tackling complex challenges and driving growth, focusing on resource optimization and successful project delivery. At DeepL, David leads with a focus on system efficiency, innovation, and fostering a supportive, inclusive workplace. He is passionate about AI-driven initiatives that enhance global communications and is committed to mentoring and promoting professional development within his teams and the broader tech community.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗻, 𝗩𝗣 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵
Stefan Mesken, VP of Research at DeepL, has a lifelong passion for science and technology. He studied mathematics and computer science at the University of Münster and began his career as a researcher before transitioning into a data scientist role. Stefan moved into the AI space in 2018 and joined DeepL's research team in 2020. As VP of Research, Stefan shapes the strategy and prioritization of DeepL's research agenda, coordinating large-scale research initiatives while aligning goals with engineering and product teams. He is dedicated to building world-class AI communication tools backed by cutting-edge research.

𝗦𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗻, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿
Sebastian Enderlein is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in both Europe and Silicon Valley. In more than a decade in the technology industry, he has made significant contributions to several leading companies. After 6 years at Salesforce, he joined Uber to lead the developer experience and cloud infrastructure teams. In 2019, he took on the role of VP and later EVP of Engineering at Personio, where he was instrumental in scaling the company into an $8 billion European tech leader. Now, as Chief Technology Officer at DeepL, Sebastian is driving efforts to shape the future of language and AI technology, with a strong focus on scalability and building high performing teams.
