Global Day of Coderetreat Chicago #GDCR18

Details

The Global Day of Coderetreat is back in Chicago for 2018!

Join us on Saturday, November 17th for an opportunity to get back to the basics of how to craft clean, sustainable, test-driven code.

WHAT IS GLOBAL DAY OF CODERETREAT?

from https://www.coderetreat.org/ :

"Coderetreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. By providing developers the opportunity to take part in focused practice, away from the pressures of 'getting things done', the Coderetreat format has proven itself to be a highly effective means of skill improvement. Practicing the basic principles of modular and object-oriented design, developers can improve their ability to write code that minimizes the cost of change over time."

Global Day of Coderetreat is a "Global" event because developers from around the world participate in the activity. From Portland to Poland, Israel to India, thousands of developers from hundreds of cities will all be working towards a shared goal- to come together to hone their skills and practice their craft.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• The day-long session consists of 5-6 sessions
• Each session is about 45 mins per session
