Who do I Vote for? Who are all these people on the Ballot?

If you have NOT VOTED yet - Take a look below!  EVERYONE, PLEASE VOTE if you haven't yet!

Scroll Down to see my Personal Picks - not that I am anything special - but in case you didn't have time to research all of them, maybe this will help you decide, espec. if you are on the fence on some of them.  I try to choose the one I feel is the most honest and who's motives are pure, that they are not out for personal or political gain, but to serve the people and bring our government back to it's Constitutional moorings.

I know many of us get overwhelmed when we go to vote at the Polls, and see all these unfamiliar names on the Ballot...or even if we have heard of them it is easy to be confused as to which the best candidate really is! (Hint, just because they are the INCUMBENT, and you recognize their name, it doesn't mean they are the best suited- in fact, in today's reality, I 'd be more inclined to say bring in the NEW, OUT with the old...because, we are where we are today because of incumbents, and status quo!  So, don't just Re-Elect folks without KNOWING they are the best ones!  If you're not sure - Vote them out!)

This is actually the first year that I have studied out every name on my ballot - I learned how to find my ballot before hand, and make sure I learned about everyone there!  Many of the people showed up and talked at the various local 9-12 and Tea Party groups - and that was great.  However, it is always good to get your info from various sources - because sometimes to hear someone running for office talk, well, you'd think they'd hung the moon and the stars!  So, you have to use various other resources for learning about the candidates.

Here are some VOTER RESOURCES I used:

  • Vetting page on the North Texas Council (I am a part of this conservative leadership group).
  • Want to know WHO is contributing and HOW MUCH to candidates?  This can be very telling - who is giving them donations, especially the larger amounts-surely they are expecting recipients to vote favorably towards their interests!  Go to -start with this link to the US Congressional races, but when you have time, I'd recommend going back to get more financial info - this site will AMAZE YOU! and help you know who is being bought out by whom!  I think you will be quite surprised!
  • Various Voter's Guides - you can google for them.  If you know a particular group that puts one out, look specifically, such as Eagle Forum, or Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Right to Life, Empower Texans, etc.
  • Facebook Pages for politically focused groups - like ours for instance 9-12 HEB NRH Tea Party, or 9-12 Project FtWorth, etc. (you can use the search bar to search for groups!)

Early Voting ends Friday at 7 pm, then Election Day is Tuesday May 29!

===Cindy's Voting Picks===(some are from races I may know less about as they are not in my area).

If there are two candidates that I feel are both good choices, I may put both. If I am not overly confident I will put an (*) by their name. If you have questions as to why I picked certain ones, feel free to reply to ask - and I will try to answer! (To save time and space, I am not putting NON-Contested races, and I won't put comments here, unless I feel heavily compelled to do so!)

There will be a few votes that are not binding to my knowledge, but just there to see what voters are thinking.

There is one about School Choice - it mentions funds following the child- I think this needs more exploration, but it seems to me that the best option is NOT a voucher system, which I think this will work out to be, but a TAX CREDIT to parents for their childs education.  That way, unlike a voucher, schools that accept your child's enrollment will not be required to succumb to state requirements on what and how to teach, etc.  That leaves it up to the school (private or Christian) to decide it's own curriculum, not giving the government that control!
