House Rules:

  2. Hands must be washed after touching any greasy snack.
  3. Keys in a community fish bowl.
  4. Drink in moderation. Players would have had 3+ drinks, MUST stop drinking at least 30 mins before leaving. Group will collectively decide if a member is safe to drive before the member can have keys returned.

What is Cards Against Humanity?
C.A.H. is a hilarious politically incorrect party game based on satire and popular culture. It's basically a playing card version of "Mad Libs," the 90s car ride game for kids, filling in random parts of speech; ie: nouns, adjectives and verbs into a often whacky nonsensical paragraphs but in correct syntax.
Why Cards Against Humanity for dating?
There is indeed an advantage to players who are willing to employ a strategy of responding in outrageous and, let's say, generally "less-than-socially-acceptable" ways, but ultimately players who tend to win, are not necessarily the most "horrible people," but the are those who understand their opponents' sense of humor the best. So what faster method is there to get a sense of your compatibility?
How will my privacy be protected?
Contact information may not be requested during the events.
Business cards may be offered, but may not be asked for.
If a member forgets this rule, they will receive one polite warning but a second violation will result in permanent ban from the group. Contacts may be exchanged ONLY AFTER the event has ended, so check your Meetup messages and it will be at each member's discretion as to whether he or she would like to continue the conversation with that member.
Why does it cost money?
If you've been to a Meetup event before you are likely already aware the Hosts must ask members to contribute $$$. Running the Meetup group, costs the Host $100 for a 6 month listing. A group of 12 people will gross the Host $109 per event. Beverages and snacks for 12 are ALL INCLUDED. As you can imagine, $109 is not enough to buy a decent bottle of whiskey, vodka and a case of beer, 4 bottles of red and white wine options. Right now, Meetup is offering a 30% listing discount, so in six months (assuming if there is enough demand to keep this group going), entry prices will need to be raised. Especially because, I hope to offer prizes (like restaurant gift cards) to encourage members can use on dates after the event. Most Karaoke Meetup groups are bound to cost each person dinner, beers and the membership fees. $40 is generally an average night out on Meetup.
Why do I need to pay in advance?
This is a party but it's also dating event, so to have a successful Meetup where everyone has a chance to get to know each other in a fun, safe and intimate environment, we need to have a commitment from each person that they are accountable to their RSVP, ensuring a 1:1 boy/girl ratio.
I'm a girl, I thought it was supposed to be free?!?
It is free to every single female attendee.
But we need to have a commitment from you, that you'll show up.
Of course, putting down $25 doesn't guarantee you'll show up, but not many people want to just throw $25 away. So you will be reimbursed 100% for your entire entrance fee, the following day.
