Photoshop Selections and Layer Masks

In Photoshop, the ability to isolate specific areas is the key to successful manipulation.

This topic really speaks to the heart of essential Photoshop skills.

We'll work with a variety of image situations, employing the selection tools and techniques that suit them best. From The Quick Selection Tool to Color Range, and everything in between! Come learn how to make accurate selections so that you can cut objects out for use in other images, or simply as a way to limit color adjustments and retouching to the area you intend to affect.

Once we make selection, I'll demonstrate how and why we may turn them into Layer Masks.

This session will start of with basic information for new users, and will will lead into advanced techniques.
