On the occasion of the High Holy Days, some beautiful music on Jewish themes

First of all, a hearty "Shana Tova" to our Jewish friends and neighbors as they observe the Ten Days of Repentance. As we previously used the occasion of one of the great sacred occasions in Christianity to listen to Bach's St. Matthew Passion, this seems a perfect opportunity to celebrate the music of the Jewish composers who have written music on Jewish themes. There are, of course, a great many Jewish composers who are not featured here, because I wanted to focus on a specific area of music that the greats like Mendelssohn or Mahler did not delve into. As such, most of these may be new to you, but I hope you'll find them as wonderful as I do.
