Bootstrappers Breakfast® HistoryThe meetings were started informally in California, USA in 2003 by Sean Murphy, CEO of SKMurphy Inc. After attending Silicon Valley networking meetings for entrepreneurs for more than a decade, Murphy became disenchanted with the extreme emphasis on venture capital and fund raising. He wanted to create a place for entrepreneurs to discuss the real challenges like: management, finding strategic partners, attracting customers, payroll, HR, etc. that entrepreneurs may not normally talk about in other networking meetings. Since 2003, Boostrappers Breakfast has grown to multiple Chapters across: California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Warsaw, Poland and as of September 16, 2016 Windsor, Ontario Canada.

Bootstrappers Breakfast® - Windsor, Ontario.The Breakfast meeting starts at 11:00 am and ends at 1:00 am. The theme of the meeting is “Give to help others”, Each session begins with a “introduction period”, when each attendee gets up one by one and speaks for two (2) minutes about their company or idea and some item of interest or problem they are seeking help to solve. The group has a serious roundtable conversation on each issue and about growing a business. The meetings provide a chance to compare notes on operational, development, and business issues with your peers.
