I’ll admit I’ve wrestled with my own thoughts and feelings about aging, along with all the cultural messages and societal imprints that bombard us for a lifetime. I’m 71 and don’t really feel my age… whatever that means. Yet, as I was writing this post, I initially wanted to find a beautifully curated photo of a graceful older woman in a perfect setting for this. But I decided instead to use my own current photo…because I have to walk my talk, right?
Aging is tricky. It kind of sneeks up on us and often comes with self-judgment. Even if we’ve had a pretty wonderful life. Why can’t we accept this stage of life and embrace the grace and good in it? Because there is so much baggage and bullsh*t around aging, especially for women. For so many women, aging arrives with a quiet sense of erasure.
The culture grows quieter around us. Our bodies change. Our roles shift. Our sense of purpose changes. And somewhere inside, we wonder:
Is it too late?
Is this the beginning of the end?
I’m here to tell you—no!
This is the beginning of something entirely new.

Agile Aging is a framework I created to redefine what it means to grow older as a woman.
It’s not about resisting the aging process—it’s about alchemizing it. This isn’t “anti” anything. This is about opening to possibility and saying YES! Even later in life.
It’s a shift from the false narrative of decline to a story of exploration, enthusiasm, emergence, and empowerment.
This is aging as a spiritual, emotional, and physical rebirth.
