This is one of the many opportunities you will have to learn and/or practice the classic Italian game of Scopa between now and the weekend of our tournament in the Spring of 2014. This training session, and all others like it, will be free of charge!
This coming Spring (exact dates and details will be forthcoming), I plan to hold our first Scopa tournament, with proceeds being donated to an important local or national charity. I have large hopes and expectations for this event, especially if I can open it up to people all over the country. There are many Scopa players out there!
If you have not yet learned to play this game, then why not take this opportunity to do so (the rules are very simple). If you already know the basics, and would like to compete in next year's tournament, then I encourage you to get all the practice you can before the big weekend! That means attending these training sessions whenever you can and teaching and playing the game with friends and relatives as well. The more you play, the better player you will become!
Prizes will be given away to the winner(s) of the tournament, but details regarding this are impossible until we have a good idea of how many players we will have. Obviously, the larger the number of participants, the more funds will be available for prizes, and for our chosen charity!
