Aurora AmVets Euchre Meet Up - Every Wednesday

Details
This a fun group of Euchre Players who've come together and are having a great time playing cards at AmVets Post 103 ( https://www.facebook.com/amvets10 ) each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.!
EUCHRE TOURNAMENT CONCEPT
Each euchre player will score with a partner each of 8 rounds or games (8 hands or deals to a game with each player dealing twice), partners change after each game. The tournament is not played as teams. Rather, each player will change partners with each round. Individual score sheets are provided. Score sheets are turned in at the end of the tournament. It's actually super easy to use these score sheets. If you have any questions about scoring, please ask one of the organizers.
We play standard Euchre with "stick the dealer". Occasionally, if we don't have enough players for full tables, then we will have "half tables" where players may have to sit out until the first table completes their play. By the end of the tournament everyone will play the same number of hands and rounds. If you get euchred (or set) then you have to pay 25 cents to the loner pot. The player at the end who has the most loners will collect the loner pot.
Entrance cost is $10, plus an optional $5 side play. The winnings will be divided based on the number of players. The side play is paid to the player with the best score among the players who opted play the side play. For example, if Tom paid $10 to enter, and he scored a 64. And Jan paid $15 to enter, and she scored a 60, then Tom will take first place and Jan will take second place in the tournament winnings, and Jan will take the entire side play winnings because Tom did not play the side play.
Euchre is open to the public. AmVets membership is not required. Just ring the doorbell when you arrive.
They also have great food. So, feel free to arrive a little early to enjoy their $5 Wednesday night burger special.
Hope to see you there!
