This class covers the programs and services that the Small Business Administration (SBA) offers to help you start and grow your business. Although the SBA is usually associated with loans, this overview will run through the SBA Loan Programs as well as our other programs and services including Counseling, Export Assistance, Government Contracting, Surety Bonds, and Disaster Assistance.

Lonnie Koyama is the Lead Outreach & Marketing Specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in South Florida. He has been with the SBA for twelve years. His duties involve fostering economic development with business organizations. In addition, he counsels businesses and connects them to resources to help them start and grow.
Prior to the work with the Federal government, Lonnie had a long private sector career that included extensive management and supervisory experience with several national retailers over an area encompassing several western states. Lonnie also had a career in restaurant management and ownership. His restaurant, El Amigo in Golden, Colorado is still open 36 years after Lonnie and his partners opened it. He also served four years in the United States Marine Corps where he was honorably discharged. Leon.Koyama@sba.gov
