"Our goal is not mearly providing GDPR-compliance for Blockchain, but rather using Blockchain to raise data protection levels in the digital world to new dimensions" - Christian Wirth & Michael Kolain

The organizers of this event are currently working on the -worldwide first - Standard for "DIN SPEC 4997 Privacy by Blockchain Design: A standardised model for processing personal data using blockchain technology"

The Journal of Banking and Financial Technology (Springer Verlag) writes about our latest Paper: "Chrisitan Wirth et al., also showed [66] how blockchain design can be compatible with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) act."

Based on our previous research Privacy by Blockchain Design scientifically backed by our other works we will shed some light on the following topics:

-How to be compliant with the Right to be Forgotten (Art. 17 GDPR), when using Blockchain.
-General approach to handling personal data on a blockchain.
-Steps to take to be GDPR-compliant with your Blockchain:
-Record of data processing
-Effective technical and organizational meassures to secure data protection regarding blockchains
-Data Protection Impact Assessments
-The role of standardization and certification (Art. 25(3) and Art. 42 GDPR)

By the end of this workshop you will have all the knowledge and tools to be on the safe side to launch your blockchain product without fearing that European regulators will tear you appart, because you will be amongst those blockchain enterprises setting the standards of compliance and data protection in the light of the GDPR.

You will therefore avoid the consequences of non-compliance, which could include:
-Devastating loss of reputation
-Fines of up to 4% of annual revenue
-Other regulatory contraints
