In lieu of our usual meetup, we're hosting a Gib Devs hangout sesh on Zoom 🍺💻

We miss all your lovely faces 🤓 So if you have nothing better to do on Thursday at 6pm, grab a beer out the fridge and join us.

What's more, two heroic speakers materialised at the last minute with super-interesting topics to share! Check them out below.

-📵- It's going to work much better from your laptop, than from your phone

-👀- Switch from Speaker View to Gallery View to feel like you're "in the room"

-📸- Make sure your webcam is enabled before joining, so we don't say "I can't see you, [name]!" a gazillion times

And that's it! 💙

Ian Sproates, Senior Front End Developer @Lottoland.com: "Software Design - The Sproates Approach"

Whenever you are creating or modifying a system, you are doing software design (whether you know it or not).

Ian will join us at our virtual meetup this Thursday to talk about software design - but also to lead us through an interactive, collaborative exercise! This presentation will give you confidence that you are building the right things and enable you to communicate your designs with others.

Izabella Jaworska, Analyst @Lottoland.com: "South Korea's COVID-19 story"

Izabella will present South Korea's COVID-19 story in data, using Python and Matplotlib library. South Korea is the perfect country to analyse, having collected a lot of data and making a lot of tests.

Izabella hopes to show us how to use these data to create our own hypotheses based on good analysis rather than bad journalism and rumours.
