Directions: Approximately 2.5 miles north of Ft Pierce Inlet over the North Bridge Cswy (A1A). On the west side of A1A look for 2 big mirrors, the kind that let you see out coming out of driveways. Turn left there and follow the dirt road to the launch site. Google Queens Island Park and you will find it. High Tide is around 1:00 pm. Copy and paste these coordinates 27.518658, -80.309871 into google maps.
We will paddle around Pepper State park, exploring the mangroves along the way. After winding our way through the mangroves we will paddle the intracoastal and check out some of the inlets along the way. This will probably take a little longer than usual (more than 4 + hrs and I think a little more than 10 miles paddling) out so bring plenty of water and snacks. This will still be an easy paddle. Probably take an extra break or two.
Wide brim hats, sunglasses, bug repellant are good things to bring. Pfd's and whistles are a coast guard requirement - you don't have those items and you are not going.
After the paddle, a stop for drinks might be a good idea. Smiley faces always welcome.
