Vaughn's Bio:

To explain my life I need to borrow a quote from one of my life's inspirations, Philippe Petit- the high wire artist: "My story has a lot to do with dreaming. Although... I am known to make my dreams come true."

After the events of Sept 11th, I made a decision that my passion of the outdoors needed to be shared and used to inspire others. My goal was to bring those lost in the stress of big cities out into nature to experience balance health and friendship. I first created an outdoor adventure club and in the first year I had 1000 members. By the second year that tripled. During this time I honed my events and observed the expectations of my adventurers. This led to including transportation, meals, and all appropriate adventure gear such as kayaks, bikes, snowshoes and similar. My dream was becoming a success.

This allowed me to fulfill a second goal. Although I myself never entered into military service, I feel it is is a duty that everyone should have a role in serving there country or community. My adventure tours allowed me a unique opportunity. Currently all guides are Veterans returning to the States, and I am able offer them an employment opportunity that is low stress, comfortable, and a easy transition into the work force.

My creative business model of offering of full service adventure tours mixed in with social events is modern, unique, inspiring, and he has truly created a new concept in tourism.
