If you missed our recent documentary workshop project, you don't want to miss this one! The student participants did a fabulous job, and the film will begin its film festival circuit tour over the next couple of weeks. Our new documentary will follow similar self-taping opportunities, as well as a limited amount of in-person workshops.
While our primary focus is on celebrating the diversity in Vallejo, we welcome participation from students in adjoining communities such as American Canyon and Benicia. In addition, we will highlight a few students from around the globe.
POSITIVELY YOU! We will celebrate our differences through the eyes of our youth! Family Traditions, Heritage & History. Immigration & Refugee Stories. The Importance of Diversity and Individual Values, and How We Can Support One Another. Share your stories through poetry, spoken word, food tales, music, cultural attire, dance, and more!
Join us for the unique workshop opportunity: self-taping critiques and improvement discussions. In addition, any in-person workshops will be announced in the future.
The completed project will join the film festival tour circuit and screen at the International KidsNFilm Festival.
This project is Open and Ongoing until October 2021.
