Tech Talk Roundtable is back with four lightning talks designed to give insight into the world of Mobile App Development. Whether you're a developer curious about working in other environments or someone with an app idea looking to hire a developer, this quick overview will show you the pros and cons of four different development tools.
Our coWORKers will discuss the following:
-
Barry Stump will demo and review native iOS with Xcode (https://developer.apple.com/xcode/). This is Apple's officially supported IDE for creating mobile apps for the iTunes App Store.
-
Jeff Maddux will demo and review native Android with Android Studio (https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html). This is Google's officially supported IDE for developing Android apps.
-
Mike Van Winkle will demo and review Apache Cordova (https://cordova.apache.org/) (formerly known as PhoneGap). This tool lets you develop cross-platform mobile apps using web tools like HTML and Javascript.
-
Darin Wilson will demo and review React Native (https://facebook.github.io/react-native/). This is a framework developed by Facebook that lets you create cross-platform apps with JavaScript that use native components.
