RandaSue on scrapbook.com has an annual project to make cards for children, ages 7-12, that attend a camp for kids living in foster care and this will be our 3rd year participating. The counselors write each child a card every day with encouraging words.
We’re holding a card-making party on Saturday June 1 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. to make cards to send for these kids.
You can drop by any time during the day or just bring me cards before I mail them June 14th. Please RSVP if you're coming so I'll have enough supplies and snacks.
This is a free event. There will be a cricut, cuttlebug and card making supplies available. This is also a chance for spring cleaning of your supplies. Bring your scraps, paper you’re done with, stickers you’re been hanging onto since 1997, embellishments that don’t fit your style anymore, etc.
Here are the guidelines in case you want to get starting making cards to donate:

  1. Leave the inside of the card blank.

  2. No envelopes are needed.

  3. . The cards can be any theme, girl, boy (always in short supply), princess, prince, popular characters( Disney, movie characters, etc}, sports, floral, animals, etc. Also, positive words or quotes are nice too; way to go, awesome, you rock....etc. Plus there is an "Everybody's Birthday" party, so birthday cards are needed.

  4. Please put your name on the back of the cards, in small letters on the side or bottom of the card.
