The Santa Cruz Blues Festival is 8-Days away! Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready for some house rocking American and Blues music.

This will be one for the record books, so gather your family, friends and co-workers to celebrate the beginning of summer, May 25 & 26 at the Aptos Village Park!

The 21st Annual Santa Cruz Blues Festival promises to be nothing less than stellar. Saturday, May 25th starts with Texas guitar virtuoso Carolyn Wonderland, followed by slide guitar master Sonny Landreth. Next British blues royalty John Mayall followed by another Texas guitar ace Jimmie Vaughan with Lou Ann Barton and the All-Star Tilt-A-Whirl Band. Closing Saturday will be one of Rock N' Blues' all time greats the Steve Miller Band.

Sunday May 26th we will debut a couple of this years hot "breakout artists" starting with the California Honeydrops followed by Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers. Then from England the band Rolling Stones called "unbelievably awesome" James Hunter Six followed by the funky soul revivalists Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings. Closing this year's festival will be the Grammy award winning 11 member Tedeschi Trucks Band who cleaned house at this years 2013 Blues Music Awards taking home Best Band, Best Rock Blues Album ("Everybody's Talkin'") and Best Guitarist.

Twenty one years ago the Santa Cruz Blues Festival began as a way to honor the uniquely American tradition of blues music in the ultimate music-lover's setting: a picturesque 10.3 acre Redwood amphitheater with state-of-the-art staging and world-class concert sound. Two decades later the Santa Cruz Blues Festival has become more than a "destination festival." It has become an annual gathering for music lovers of all ages and walks of life that make the yearly pilgrimage to this beautiful coastal Redwood Park each Memorial Day weekend to pay tribute to the heritage of the blues, meet up with old friends and make new ones.

EVENT HOURS: Gates open by 10AM (earlier if possible), show begins at 11AM and ends at approximately 7PM. No in/out privilege after 3PM.

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION: There is no parking at the festival site. There is FREE Parking at Cabrillo College with FREE Luxury shuttle bus transportation from Cabrillo College beginning at 9AM. Cabrillo College parking lot opens at 8AM.
