UPDATE: PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE CHANGED THE DATE TO THE 17TH AT 6:00PM. I apologize for any inconvenience changing the date may have caused but had to change it to accommodate the meetup place. The new E::Space conference room is great and I'm excited about being able to host this meeting there. If you don't know about E::Space, check out what they have to offer at http://www.espacelabs.com
In a nutshell E::Space is an incubator for personal and startup electronics projects and products. It has both a lab and a meeting space for E::Space classes. An exciting new addition to our high tech community!

Our member Justin Healy has a project he wants to brainstorm. Here is his description:
"I could really use some feedback from the group on the following. I have a robust outline for the project, but have yet to discuss the whole thing with anyone in detail. Attendees can expect a 10-min. breakdown of the project followed by getting ideas on the whiteboard in a somewhat organized fashion. Constructive criticism, identifying deal-killers or new paths, and potential partnering would be great outcomes for me.
Airfair Oregon ’16 will help students and professionals across the state get hands-on practice and develop techniques with the new visual language of drone-based aerial photography and cinematography.
Why? Global spending on drones is expected to double in the next 10 years to $11.5 billion annually. Aerial video and photography equipment and services, along with industrial uses, will make up a significant portion of this market. The Pacific Northwest is already an established hotbed of industrial, military, and commercial drone technology, and with good reason. With its rich diversity of environments, reliable weather, and wide-open spaces, Oregon is great for flying. It’s in the best interests of the Pacific NW’s economy, its artists, and its businesses to capitalize on its advantages and take the lead in the creative side of this exploding drone market by establishing a unique regional pool of talent, experience, and hardware skills.
How can Oregon innovate? One effective way may be a summer blitz of the state with drones and experts, putting Oregonians behind the lens and introducing an incredibly promising new perspective to hundreds of innovative creators in one concentrated season.
Thank you!
-Justin"
