Join us for the 1st Real Estate Crowdfunding Education and Networking Meetup in NYC sponsored by & Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP!
It's a great opportunity to meet crowdfunding and real estate lending companies, learn about HOW you can tap into crowdfunding to help finance your projects. We'll be talking about recent changes to legislation, new opportunities, and discussing pros and cons, and case studies from some of the crowdfunding portals who've been at this for a while now.
The event schedule is as follows:

• 7:00 to 7:45 p.m.: Presentation & Speakers
• 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.: More Networking & Cocktails

We hope we can meet many of the IMN attendees from the forum as well as individuals from NYC in the first of many nationwide events that Patch of Land will be hosting to spread knowledge and awareness on the topic of real estate crowdfunding.

AdaPia d'Errico, CMO at Patch of Land
AdaPia is the Chief Marketing Officer at Patch of Land. She positions the brand through digital community building, targeted offline marketing, and media relations. AdaPia leads business development activities and strategic partnerships. Previously she spent several years as an entrepreneur, serving such companies as Disney and Mattel in brand development and audience engagement initiatives. She has co-founded two businesses, actively coaches and mentors entrepreneurs, has taught at a private business school, and is an active investor.
She frequently speaks on Women 2.0 topics in tech, new media, entrepreneurship, and fundraising for start-ups. AdaPia has broad experience in retail banking, insurance, and in corporate communications and investor relations for a Switzerland-based hedge fund. AdaPia has a BBA from the University of British Columbia, and completed a Bachelor of Business Economics degree through a European University exchange program.
Brian Korn, Partner Capital Markets
Brian Korn is a Capital Markets Partner at the law firm Manatt, Phelps, & Phillips, LLP in New York City. Brian has had multiple appearances on Fox Business Television, Bloomberg, CCTV America and National Public Radio as an expert on the JOBS Act, including its impact on crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending, IPOs and market trading dynamics. He was also published or quoted in Forbes, CNBC, MSNBC, New York Law Journal, Law360, Philadelphia Inquirer, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Financier Worldwide and The Review of Securities & Commodities Regulation. He is the author of several articles on capital raising and investor liquidity, and has several clients in the peer-to-peer lending space.
Brian is the author of “The Trouble with Crowdfunding” published in Forbes, as well as the Forbes article announcing the SEC’s crowdfunding rules proposal. Prior to joining Manatt, Brian was co-Head of the Crowdfunding and Peer-to-Peer Lending Practice at Pepper Hamilton LLP, Head of Equity Capital Markets and Syndicate Compliance at Barclays and Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Citigroup Global Markets Inc. Brian is an honors graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the Northwestern University School of Law.
John A. Wieder Sr., Esq., CFO
John has been a practicing attorney in New York since January 1993. He is a co-founder of Wieder & Wieder P.C., a law firm specializing in real estate and trusts and estate law for two decades. John is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is also an OCA certified Guardian Ad Litem with the Surrogates Court of Westchester County. Additionally, John is licensed as a Certified Financial Planner, and, as such, is knowledgeable of strategies and methodologies available to investors.
As CFO of RealPartner, John is responsible for loan integrity, including managing the accurate presentation and reporting of essential loan characteristics and servicing information. John’s experience in both Real Estate Law and Financial Planning give him the unique perspective required to proficiently manage RealPartner’s real estate debt opportunities.
