AngularJS 1x to Angular 2, can I upgrade my existing code? Part 1

Angular 2 is here, and it's awesome! (I hope) But wait, I still have a massive codebase of AngularJS 1x apps. I can't just leave them behind and rewrite them from scratch. What do I do so that I can use the new hotness (Angular 2)? This presentation will cover the concepts necessary to start porting your existing AngularJS 1x app to Angular 2. It will cover how to modify your AngularJS 1x app to allow for this upgrade occur. This means converting everything possible to a component. Switching to the new component router in AngularJS. You'll also probably want to add ES2015 or greater support to allow you to pull your controllers out into Classes (ooo...fancy!)
