Agenda:

"The Art of the Possible with Machine Learning"

This talk will begin with a broad overview of machine learning (ML) approaches followed by the illustration of a couple of ML algorithms using toy examples. A discussion on the applications and challenges of MLin FinTech (e.g., regulatory compliance/risk) and healthcare (e.g., mental illness detection)will conclude the presentation.

Bio

Chandramouli (Mouli) is the Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Institute for Cognitive Networking at Stevens Institute of Technology, and, a co-founder of Spectronn www.spectronn.com (http://www.spectronn.com/) and Jaasuz www.jaasuz.com (http://www.jaasuz.com/) .

He is a frequent keynote speaker at major conferences, industry panel member, and advisor to start-ups. His research has been covered by The New Scientists, ACM Tech News, Fox News, Voice of America and others. He closely engages with major financial services companies in developing AI/ML algorithms for regulatory compliance and financial fraud detection.
