Now that we know all about Radio waves, WiFi links, and networking it's time to get our hands dirty and learn how to install PittMesh WiFi routers in our neighborhood! Learn how to use a hammer drill, safely climb a ladder, and learn how to make Ethernet cables. After this class you'll never have to buy an overpriced Cat5 cable from Best Buy again! Once this class is complete we will begin scheduling evening installations in the Hill District to start building the public WiFi network in the neighborhood!

The goal of this series of talks is to inspire and educate residents and neighbors of the Hill District, enabling them to build their own public WiFi network along Centre Avenue. The lessons learned at this and other classes in the series will be instrumental in building a strong public WiFi network. All classes will be held at the Hill House First Source Center.

All classes are free.

Free food will be provided according to the number of signups on this page-so sign up! Questions about this or other classes in the Hill District can be directed to info@metamesh.org.
