Feeling a Little Orphaned This Christmas? šš

Details
Christmas is a time for togetherness, but if you find yourself far from family this year, youāre not alone. I usually head back to Massachusetts for the holidays, but this year Iāll be staying here in Coloradoāand Iād love to celebrate with you!
Iām hosting a Christmas potluck and white elephant gift exchange at my home with several of my friends. Tonight I realized thereās still some room in my home for several more, so I thought I would see if any group members also find themselves orphaned this Christmas. If youāre looking for a warm, welcoming way to spend Christmas, we would love for you to join us!
The Plan:
Iāll be serving up a hearty, Colorado-sourced Christmas stew, made with elk I harvested near the Wyoming border. Fun fact: elk are distant cousins of reindeer! What better way to celebrate Christmas than by enjoying a little āreindeerā stew? (Santa doesnāt need all of them!) The stew will also include potatoes, onions, carrots, and green beans all grown in my garden this year. If youād like to come, please bring a potluck dish to share and a wrapped white elephant gift (around $10 in value) for a fun and festive exchange!
A Few Notes:
- I live about 5 miles north of Hwy. 66 near Longmont, so youāll need transportation. (To give you an idea, itās about a 30-minute drive from Avanti on Pearl Street.)
- Once you sign up, Iāll share my exact address.
- Please only RSVP if youāre certain you can attendāI need to plan food accordingly on how much elk to cook, and it is rude to drop out last minute or pull a no-show.
If this sounds like your kind of holiday spending a few hours this Christmas enjoying good food, laughter, and holiday cheer with a small group of friendly faces, we would love to have you!
Wishing all group members a joyful Christmas season and looking forward to reconnecting at our happy hour events again beginning in the spring!
Cheers,
Jim
