What we're about
Upcoming events (1)
For our second meeting this month we are reading and discussing section 6 (The Bridge to the Real World) of Chapter 16; this bridge being a “transition in the perspective of reality” to a state where the world is seen “through quiet eyes and with a mind at peace.”
“Once you have crossed the bridge, the value of the body is so diminished in your sight that you will see no need at all to magnify it. For you will realize that the only value the body has is to enable you to bring your brother to the bridge with you, and to be released together there.” (T-16.VI.6:4-5)
This will be an online meeting. If you’d like to join the Skype meeting just RSVP to this meeting invitation to say that you wish to attend. You will then be given a web link which you should copy and paste into your web browser. This will take you to a web page which has a pop-out box asking if you want to open Skype.
IF YOU HAVE A SKYPE ACCOUNT:
If you have a Skype account you can just click “Open Skype” and it will open your Skype account and take you to the ACIM Liverpool Skype conversation group, which you can then join. (Note that there doesn’t need to be a conversation in progress for you to join; you can join at any time). “ACIM Liverpool” will be saved in the list of Recent Chats on the left hand side of your Skype page, so you can easily join future meetings.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE A SKYPE ACCOUNT:
If you don’t have a Skype account you can still join as a Guest. Rather than clicking “Open Skype” in the pop-out box, instead click “Cancel”. The pop-out box will disappear. Then click the blue box with the words “Join as guest”. You will then be prompted to enter your name and click the blue “Join” box.
Once you’ve done this you’ll be taken to the ACIM Liverpool Skype conversation page and you can click on the picture of a video camera in a grey box at the top right of the screen to join the conversation via video and audio.
Please note that Skype guest accounts expire after 24 hours, so it is suggested that if you’re going to join the Skype conversation as a guest that you do so immediately before the meeting starts, allowing 10-15 minutes before the start of the meeting to go through the guest joining process described above.
