#GlobalGoals for Sustainable Textile Industry event, Jan 30th 10:00-11:30 AM, Conference Room D.

With this event we want to portray the possibilities of the textile industry to advance sustainable development within the framework of Agenda 2030 and to create the resilience necessary to respond to the most threatening questions around inequality and poverty of our time. We are exited to have leading sustainability actors of this sector joining us at the event (see below for speakers bios), and you, our audience, to discuss further how to deepen the collaboration and creation of sustainability paradigm. We are creating an open platform to inspire and co-create ways in which different industries in collaboration with civil society, enterprises and governments can become a transformative force for the improvement of present economic and social systems. That’s why today we are offering the space that Hecho por Nosotros has at international fora as an open platform to join all these initiatives and actors. Also, we would like to invite you all to participate these activities and programs, including: -Call for mapping the world of sustainable fashion: Open call for participants in project to create an international map of ethical/sustainable fashion initiatives and opportunities.

  -Webinar and other educational programs

Please note that you will collect your side event passes at a registration desk located next to the visitor's information desk in the UN General Assembly Building - 46th Street and First Avenue. You need to present a government-issued official photo ID (passport) to collect side event pass. Please make sure to arrive on time, as this event is organized as a part of the 56th session of the Commission for Social Development, there are many other events happening on the same day and entrance might be busy in the morning.

The registration hour will be the following:
Tuesday, 30 January 9 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

• Important to know
You will collect your side event passes at a registration desk located next to the visitor's information desk in the UN General Assembly Building - 46th Street and First Avenue. You need to present a government-issued official photo ID to collect side event pass. You will also have to pass security (airport style) to get in the UN building.
