June 18-21 Corsica 2 - relaxing, Bonifacio, beaches & coastal walks

Corsica 2 is an ideal trip if you’d like to enjoy warm waters of the sea, explore the coastline and Bonifacio town. It will include optional half-day walks next to the famous beaches. This trip can be ideally combined with Corsica 1 North & Corsica 3 South.

Bonifacio
This majestic old town sits on a limestone throne at the far south of the island and is one of the most spectacular towns in the Mediterranean. The citadel walls and ancient houses of Bonifacio appear to rise seamlessly out of sheer cliffs that have been hollowed and striated by the wind and waves. Beneath, an inlet about 100 metres wide forms a natural harbour and a series of grottoes and coves.
We may
wander the sheltered harbourside of Bonifacio Port, and take a trip from the port to the nearby 'grottes et falaises' (caves and cliffs), or to the Iles de Lavezzis, providing the opportunity to view the magnificent coastal rock formations from the sea.
Walk along the cliffs of Bonifacio to the Pertusato lighthouse, and admire the stunning views back towards the town and out over the Straits towards Sardinia.
Try the circular coastal walk around Roccapina in the south-west, which affords breathtaking views across the beaches of Roccapina and Erbaju. Look out for the lion-shaped rock formation 'le lion de Roccapina', which overlooks the dazzling turquoise-blue bays from its perched position.
Santa Giulia
Santa Giulia is another very popular beach and arguably the most photogenic of all the beaches in L'Extrême Sud, voted as France's eight best beach in the same Tripadvisor poll that awarded its neighbour, Palombaggia Beach, as the crowning beach in the country. It sits in a magnificent horseshoe bay with its shallow and translucent water making it the perfect swimming spot for the little ones. Around 10-15 minutes drive from Porto Vecchio, the beach has two access road

The direct flights don’t fly every day to Corsica, we have created 3 trips in a row to make it easy to combine them all still using only direct flights

We will arrange all local airport & hike transfers. If you choose different flights you will need to make your own way to the hotel.

All participants of AAA LG trips must be equipped accordingly.
