We are announcing a new weekly series of meetups (called "C++ SF Bay Area Uni") dedicated to learning C++, which will be hosted by Michael Klose.
To start with, we'll announce these meetings on this meetup, but if you are interested, you should join the "Uni" meetup directly to get information on the location and keep abreast of all information related to this new series of meetups:
***** Do not RSVP here. Do it at the meetup at the URL above. ****
This free course is split into modules, each of which consists of 6-8 lessons. The first module is "Initial C++", and the first meeting of this module will take place on November 27th, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. You can still RSVP to the first lesson here: https://www.meetup.com/CPP-SF-Bay-Area-Uni/events/255975932/
This meetup on 12/4 is the second lesson of the first module. Since this is a class, attendees of the first lesson will be given preference. To RSVP to the second lesson on 12/4, please visit this meetup link: https://www.meetup.com/CPP-SF-Bay-Area-Uni/events/256530900/
Please note that this first module is for beginners. While knowledge of another programming language is helpful, it is not a requirement. If you have been programming C++ for the last 20 years, I would skip this module, though with C++ there is always something to be learnt!
Topics on 12/4:
* commonly used types
* variable declarations
* const and auto
