Bring your tech talk to our mini 'pitch off' competition! Our panel of judges will listen to your talk abstract and outline for 2 mins. The winner will receive a small funding stipend from ACM to help with travel if your talk is picked up!

About the Series
Interested in applying to a speaker at a conference or tech talk but its your first time and you want help figuring out how to present??? Or maybe you've done a few presentations but want pointers on how to improve your presentation and engage more of your audience!

Join ACM Local DC Chapter for Learn to Be a Speaker Series. This series of meetups/workshops will help you be relevant to your audience, engage them more effectively, have them learn something and then maybe persuade them to do something with this newfound knowledge.

There will be a series of three workshops, during which DC ACM will help you curate your presentation and provide you with the tools needed to give a successful talk/presntation. At the completion of the series there will be a pitch competition and the winner will be sponsored by the ACM to travel to do their presentation.
