Chris Nguyen currently builds platform tools for the web at the Washington Post. He fell in love with the web when Geocities was a thing, webrings were cool, and people learned Java to animate flames. He has degrees in Computer Science and Linguistics from the University of Maryland, College Park and The George Washington University andlives in DC.

Talk Description: Programming languages are a lot like human languages: tools for communication. Is it possible that the languages we use can shape the way we approach problems? We'll explore some differences in how humans communicate and then discover how these ideas can be applied to computer programming.
