Volunteer for the Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup (Glendale location)

AtheistsUnited.org supports the community by sponsoring the highway cleanup of the Glendale (2) freeway. Please help keep Los Angeles clean and join us in the cleanup effort!

What to wear
Close-toed shoes (highly recommended), long pants (highly recommended), sunscreen (recommended) or long sleeve shirt (recommended). The long sleeve shirt and long pants will protect you from weeds that scratch your legs and arms. Dress in layers because it can start out cold and warm up later in the morning. We'll provide bags, gloves and grabbers so you won't have to bend over to pick up trash. We are practicing COVID protocol so bring a mask. We also have disposable masks if you need one.

Lunch/Dinner or Refreshments
We'll pick a place for refreshments after the cleanup

How long
We will meet at 8:30 am, in order to avoid any hot temperature. The highway clean up will take about 2 hours; plus optional get-together for refreshments afterwards eat at a nearby park outdoors.

How to find us:
Exit Holly drive off of the 2 freeway (Northbound), head East and look for an Orange-colored. Call James if you can't find the group 818-791-2486.

RSVP
Please remember to change your RSVP to "no" if you can't make it. This is a common courtesy. This is also important because we can't do the cleanup with only one person attending, for safety reasons.
